Bangs!



Say hello to the new hair! :)

I'm sure the first reaction most of you will give is "Kaiyi why did you cut your long hair!! What a waste!!" but I'm currently lovin' it. I think it's a nice change and a huge one, judging from the number of people who cannot regconise me in school.
This is my second time I've had short hair as far as I can remember. Since I always wanted to but never dared to and with Phuay and the hairdresser's assurance, the long ponytail is gone. Initially I was hoping for the hairstyle below. The hairdresser told me that my hair wasn't thick enough for that style so she chose this one instead. Maybe when I get back to Singapore I'll change it again..


I'm really happy with my new hair.

Heck Kenny and Shaun who said "as much as guys don't like girls with bangs, girls still want to have bangs.", "guys like girls who have long hair!" and "you cut this hairstyle to attract guys from China ah". I did not cut my hair to please anyone but myself. So what if it'll attract China guys (HAHAHA)? I like it. Period :)

a different day, a same me.

I've meant to post this a long while back but didn't get down to it. I haven't been feeling myself lately. Didn't feel like getting out of bed, didn't feel like doing anything. Nothing felt right.

I suppose it's the new transition to university. I'm not used to having to do everything on my own. I go to classes without knowing anyone. No new friends (yet). Lessons get quite boring. Not to forget the endless pile of work and journals to read on top of tutorials plus, I really need to make reading the papers a habit to be able to answer my tutor's questions.

I get tired really quickly too, though I shouldn't be complaining since uni timetable is a lot more spaced out than college. No more slacking on the weekends.


On a better note, I've joined my school gym for Pilates every Tuesday. My abs are aching like mad. I should just think of my pretty abs and toned tummy to keep me going. It's my first time trying Pilates. I had thought it was something similar to Yoga where everything is calm and not so exerting but after that lesson it definitely isn't!! Though aching, I feel healthier (: I shall proceed to running at the gym too.

Art class is fun. I get a total different perspective of what fashion is and have a slight feeling of designing. As I know it, I can't draw for nuts! We had to draw shoes using the real shoe, mine turned out a total disaster. It looked far from a shoe. Maybe it falls under 'Alien Shoes'. haha. I kinda gave up on my collage too since I was running out of time and too tired to bother. When I get it back next week I'll post up pictures.

Also, thanks for all the encouragement babes. But I won't be going for any exchange programmes. I don't have enough space under my electives to go for it. The student advisor told me I had to choose between my double major or my exchange :(( It's sad I won't be able to experience another country while studying.

Well hopefully all these activities will keep my spirits up and find school less tiring. Glad that I've friends that take notice I'm not my usual self and try to make me snap out of it.
