OMG! I FINALLY CUT MY HAIR!!
i shld get an award for this after saying it like 3-4 mths ago. i finally got down to doing it.
not much of a change. just a new fringe now. not having to look like a pontyana (is that how it's spelt)

ok i tried. but can't seem to sit and pay attention to wat i've planned to do. i took like 1hr to do math tut 29 which is a freaking press calclator tutorial. then i tried to study physics but again, failed. it's so mind boggling with all those nonsense equations. rah. why did i take physics in the first place??



so here i am updating. before i go sort my ws out. hmpf.

24 May
went to town with shiyan to look ard before heading to delta to catch watever finals match left and collect our medals. haha. shiyan ah was trying at almost every shop we stepped in. f21, pull&bear, zara.. the clothes didn't really appeal to me so i became bored after a while. it's called not shopping aft 3 mths in town.



vj won sa for the girls match. and rj won acsi. rj's literally bagging all the championships for this year. rugby, soccer, hockey.. the rj vs asci match was pretty exciting cause rj kept having penalty corners awarded to them (kinda remind me of our team which always faced that in U-18 tournaments. haha) no 13 owned the pitch doing his dribbles and drags with style. think his name is jeremy. i think i also mentioned him before. HAHA. everyone said no 23 was hot but cldn't catch a glimpse of him at all. even shing's cam didn't show his face clearly :( name's jordan i think. info from shing (:

while we lined up to collect our medals, it dawned on me that season's over. i mean i knew it ended but it wasn't such a reality till that moment. being 4th nation wide is a freaking good thing and something to be proud of. from how we all started and ended up like this as a team. i can't find a suitable word to describe how i feel (maybe cause i keep saying :x ). AWESOME FEELING!!

we took a few picts and got bussed to glsshouse for team dinner, both girls and boys team. we had the whole second level to ourselves. making so much noise and it was a fantastic night! it was also mon's bdae on that day. the seniors got her a huge sweet secrets chocolate banana cake. had some cake (i had previously typed cash instead. GSS ah tsk tsk) smashing there.. we also celebrated in advance fang, baey, bevs and belated bdae for eleen (: the fish&co crew sang some song for them that i cldn't make out half the time. HAHA. the babies sang a bdae song for monzy. it was funny how they kept singing it over and over again cause they didn't know wat to do. haha.

we were the first team to go on stage. fran and nesh's speech was so long. i ended up stoning a bit. haha. lyd and joyce said the cam kept filming me (that's cause i was standing near to the podium. ah hahaha.) though it was long, i think the school now knows why this crazy bunch of hockers think 4th is a big thing when other sports are so upset about 4th. now they understand.

we lost to rj and got 4th last friday.
all i can say is i've no regrets and i'm sure the whole team doesn't either. we started our strong and fought all the way till the last whistle even though the 2 goals by rj wasn't justified. the first wasn't even meant to be. the umpire apologised after the match after thinking hard about it. the second goal, awarded by the same umpire, was a flick. karen went to the correct side but she cldn't stretch any further leaving a small space just enough for the ball to go in. when the whistle blew for flick, i cld tell she was so tense and stressed out. she held her helmet and prayed or tried to focus herself. it's ok karen. i still love u cause i know for all these while, u've tried your best and cleared a lot of goals tat might have been deadly to us. plus u're only like 3 mths old!! haha. all i know is that the 2 goals wasn't a very justified one. even the boys thought the same. and i don't want to talk about it anymore.

for all this 6mths we've trained, look how far we've come. from someone who can't push the ball properly, to someone who can sweep and hit so nicely. from someone who didn't know positioning, to someone who runs to the correct spots in a game. i'm so proud of every single of of you girls. we've come a long way and to be the 4th IN SINGAPORE!! it's already good enough for me. even though we've lost the match, we all know tat we're strong and winners in our hearts. my church ppl were also saying from all the times they hear from me tat we kept getting trashed during u-18 to being top4. they all went "woah. tat's a really good improvement! very good!" tat's how good we are. know that.

the boys also lost to sa. i don't really know how the second goal wnet in but the first was an early goal. it seems like we're always on the same path as the boys. haha. they had 2-0 we too had 2-0. so fun.

what am i to do after school now that i don't have hockey anymore :(
life wld be so bored. and i'll just grow fatter everyday.. rah.

wow. it's really fast how time flies.
i can rmb so clearly how i started in hockey. going for my first hockey trng ending up doing physical by running like 2k at a shot? i felt like dying at that time.
but now, i think i can do it easily aft running so much. HAHA.
now there's only 2 half days left to the end of season. tmr's the last trng i'll ever get.
looking back at how the team started, how we came together, how we trained and pressed on no matter what, how we played and learnt, how we supported each other as we went along, how how how everything and anything happened.
i'll miss everyone.
thank you for making my hockey journey so memorable. i'll rmb everything that happened. the bandar not trngs, killer runs, crazy heat. if i had a choice, i'd want to play some more with the team. this is and will be my only competitive game i might ever get to play. and thank you really. for making it so fun and enjoyable.
the j1s - krys with her random breakout of songs weird ones too during trngs and screaming on the pitch during matches, don her whining and aunty talks and clearing 'rubbish' so well, baey her curly hair and cheeky grins, AO with her dazed out look half or most of the time and her extremely nice hits and dribbling.

the first half was kinda badly played. i think it was the sun that was blazing down so hard that we kinda lost focus. we didn't go for the ball we actually ball watch at some pt of time. everyone at the side line felt so lost cause this wasn't the team that played rj or sa. nj managed to score against us after the ball bounced over bev's stick. their morale boosted and they wanted more but we wanted it far much more than them. so we fought on harder and stronger.

slightly near the last 15 mins in the second half, a miracle happened. i think it was a hit form AO outisde the top of the D and it went into the D. fran missed it but sabby was running into the D with her reverse stick in the air. not very good things to do when playing hockey. BUT the ball hit her stick and deflected so hard right into goal. the goalie didn't see it coming at all. in fact, no one did. sabby screamed cause she was pretty shocked it went in. ppl at the sideline screamed and jumped like crazy. i saw dawn punch her fists into the air. sideline ppl started to cry and hug each other. cause this mean we're very very very very close to semis. we just have to fight till the last whistle. after sabby's goal, we fought harder than before and played much better. when the last whistle blew we all cheered and ran to the pictch to shake nj's hand before hugging one another in tears.

everyone ran to sabby and hugged her so tightly. i just cried and cried. bev and meng cldn't stop. fran went crazy breaking out into a fit of words. no one understood what she was saying. like mon said, baby talk. HAHA. we cried a whole 20 mins i think. we sat on the pitch crying hugging taking pics. i think ms tan and the seniors, dawn xue also cried. i didn't see them but i think so.. haha.

this is the first time in 3 years that we're so close to the finals and in the semis. since 2004. since 1998 no one got into finals.. so we're gonna try make history. we wanna play harder again and into finals.

through it all, i really want to thank God for everything. He's been so gracious to us that i can't ask for anything more. He guided us through every single match and showed us what it meant by playing to your best ability and fighting hard all the way. He showed us that nothing will be impossible if we believe in Him and ourselves. we never had the easy route but everytime we learnt. we learnt to fight harder. and when we learn to fight harder, we will eventually get what we deserve. even if we don't get into finals, i thank Him for all that He had given us. i really can't ask for more.

also thank you to those who came down to support us; seniors, loners club, boys and many more. i bet it was a scary match to watch as well. i heard the boys were counting down the last 30 secs of our match to see us through to the semis. mr loh was also very worried as he sat there watching.


finals is our next goal. i wanna get on that stage and tell the school that we did it. and receive colour awards too!! HAHA.

we drew with SA 1-1
ONE FOOT INTO SEMIS!!

omg. having to play against a team with so many experienced players, it was nerve wrecking. the sa players dribbled past us so many times and we just kept holding and fighting on. AO got 2 sa players carded. it was so funny when we spoke to her bout it. she was like aiya no la. not good la. haha.

they had a lot of chances to score but defence was really good and strong. donica cleared a lot of nice balls coming into the D and had nice 16 yard hits. AO's hits are coming in nicely. krystle isn't so panicky as how she started cj's match. our team's slowly learning how to fight stronger and play better. looking back at how we all started not knowing how to play hockey, having only 1 experienced player, i'd say we've grew a lot withing a year. something that no one can ever imagine. something that cant be explained with words.

sa told us that we left them really tired after the match. it shows we're freaking fit as a team and we'll continue to do this shit.

AC HOCKERS. let's do this shit again on thurs.

yes yes i'm really behind posts bev! haha
i promise i'll update nicely soon (:

i'm sick again. sucks la. so much for resting more when there's 2 tests next week. roar.
made dinner for myself today and had a great idea of putting roasted pork in the toaster to cook it. the amt of oil was just gross. i'm so not going to eat so much of it anymore. after a while my tummy felt bad with all the rubbish fats. need to go running now before i grow fatter and i've learnt to appreciate past hockey physicals cause it's a must and helps you to lose weight.

did something sneaky today. kinda glad i did it though.

k i need to sleep. before i talk nonsense..
busy week ahead :( but for the love of hockey :DD

RJ won 3-0 BUT!! we're in the quarters.

the speed that rj played did surprise me cause they were really strong and fast. i knew dawn said they're fast and skilled but i didn't occur to me they were that fast. we took really long to settle into our new formation and let in 2 early goals and the 3rd one in the early of second half. second half we went back to our favourite formation and fought even harder. we knew very clearly that the goal difference cld not be more than 4 to be on the safe side. i stood at the sideline praying so hard that the defence will hold strong and that rj would not score anymore. they had a lot of close chances but it either missed the goal or defence cleared it in time.

then the heart-stopping moment came. this rj forward took the ball, ran past the 50 yard line and went into the 25 yard. our defence panicked and they all sprinted back as fast as they cld. but not everyone cld reach cause we were all caught off guard. the rj girl went in one on one with our keeper and pushed the ball towards goal. i prayed so hard inside me that it wldn't go in. then vithya gave a hard kick and cleared it. the whole team screamed in relief. during one of the penalty corner, bev stopped the ball on the line. it was such a good save. she's my ultimate defender. haha.

the final whistle blew and we cheered. this is it. we're into the quarters. i started crying and screaming for it meant tmr's trng wldn't be nothing. it'll be something tat we'll work for the quarters then semis..

i thank God for answering all our prayers amidst those heart attack moments. and for keeping us safe.

defence was really good and i know they'll be even better as we go towards finals. meng was like all over the floor half the time. haha. she said "aiya don't care already la. foul then foul lor. save the ball from the D first then say la." haha. love her for that.

more to come AC HOCKS. and we'll keep fighting on.
